A long-term project to develop and build a lunar rover to compete at the 2023 Australian Rover Challenge!
The Adept Sydney Rover Project aims to bring together a diverse team of students to build a semi-autonomous lunar rover. It will run for 8 months with the final goal of competing in the 2023 Australian Rover Challenge in Adelaide. The rover will be a wirelessly controlled, standalone unit required to navigate and complete a set of designated tasks in a rocky lunar like environment. These tasks include the manipulation and collection of payloads, semi-autonomous navigation, rover maintenance and much more. The multi-disciplinary team will be required integrate drive systems, wireless communication, payload manipulation, visual systems and software modules.
