Imagine this. You are midway through soldering your electronics and you’ve used the last of your solder - but you can’t let go of your left hand, and you can’t quite reach the new spool. “Hey E.R.A., can you bring me some more solder?” Your own Everyday Robotic Assistant (E.R.A.) rolling around your workbench helping you with everyday tasks.
As the technological industry progresses, the use of robotics is becoming more and more commonplace. The project aims to support several hands-off features, meaning it is able to operate without complex control from the user and can complete tasks without constant direction.
Its applications are enormous, from a third hand for all your tinkering, to fetching that screwdriver on the other side of the desk.
